Merry Christmas!!!!

It's Christmas! I am SO excited! This is such a magical time of year and I love everything I received! I actually woke up at 4:15 this morning to ask my parents if we could open the presents, but they needed their beauty sleep so they made me sit alone in my room in the dark for almost 3 hours!!!! It was very annoying. So they said they wanted to open the presents at 7, so I went into their room at 6:58, and my dad made me go back to my room for another 2 minutes. That was just cruel!!! So I think I will do another post at the beginning of the new year with my favorite Christmas presents and how Florida was and what my holidays were like. I don't want to brag and tell you guys what my family could afford to get each other. I just love it when my friends would call or text me in the morning asking me what I got. I think that's really fun so I think I'm going to talk about my top 10 items or something like that.

Right now, my mom is complaining about how tired she is and that she thinks she wants to go back to bed. Wow. I just don't see how someone could do that on Christmas. Also, if she doesn't go back to bed, there will be lots of baking going on in my house because it's a tradition in my family to do lots of baking on Christmas in the morning and then go to family Christmas parties in the afternoon. I love being with the family on Christmas and having a huge feast.

Oh! I almost forgot that I also have to pack for Florida! I am SO excited for this and my flight is leaving tomorrow and 8:30. So this means that I have to wake up at around 6:45 in the morning because I live kind of far from the airport and I have to get through security and everything at an airport. I am counting down every second because just this week, my mom bought me a ton of sunscreen because even though I have olive skin and I don't burn easily, the last time I went to Florida, I didn't wear enough and my shoulders burned so bad!!!! It was because it was in February and my skin was not used to being in the hot sun like I was. So I had to wear lots of allow and zinc on my shoulders. So I learned my lesson the hard way.

So I hope all you guys have the best Christmas ever and a Happy New Year but if you don't celebrate Christmas, I wish you a Happy Holidays even though Hanukkah is already over. This will be my last post of 2010 and I feel like this year has gone by so fast. I only just started blogging last month and I feel like it's been almost a year. This blog has been such a great outlet for me and I love the support!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!

It's Christmas Eve!!!!!

OK so it's Christmas Eve and I am SO excited! Everyone in my family is going crazy! I am very excited this year because I'm starting to realize that Christmas is really not about the gifts, it's about spending a lot of time with the family and cherishing all the time you have with them because since my birthday was only a week ago, my parents are constantly complaining saying that I'm going to be off to collage soon! I am not up for that yet!! All I want to do is relax this holiday season and have the time of my life. This is my favorite time of year because we are off from school/work, we get to be with family, and of course, my birthday is this time of year also! So this season is definitely my favorite. Also, since I will be in Florida in a couple of days, (December 26!!!) so I will not be leaving any posts from that day to new year. I am also very excited about the new year!!!!! My resolution is to wake up earlier. Every day before I go to school it is a constant battle with the snooze alarm and my mom is getting tired of it because I never have time to eat my breakfast. So starting 2011, I am going to try to get up at the same time every morning, shower, do my hair, get dressed, and have a decent breakfast with time to spare. I know that this sounds like a lot, but I feel like I'm getting kind of lazy about my mornings and I also think that my mom will really appreciate it. So this is really for her. I hope you guys have an amazing Christmas!!! And by the way, I might not blog tomorrow, I think I will try to but I'm going to be spending a lot of time with my family. If I don't, then this will be my last post of 2010! But if I blog tomorrow then that will be my last post of 2010! This is SO crazy! Merry Christmas everyone! But if you don't celebrate Christmas, I wish you Happy Holidays!!!!!!

Still Sick!

OK I'm really upset about the prescription medicine that the doctor gave me yesterday because apparently it was supposed to heal both my cough and my stuffy nose and it still hasn't worked. I took 2 pills last night and nothing has happened. And I'm not allowed to take any other medicine because this was supposed to do the trick, which obviously it didn't. I'm sad. So today I'm also upset because I have a piano recital today and I really don't want to do because I'm sick. This is really annoying because my mom is making me go and I don't want to go because I have to play a really easy piece that will make me look stupid. And my teacher is playing the advanced duet part of it and that will make me look even more stupid. How am I supposed to get out of this??? But on the bright side, the last day of school was today and now I'm on break!!! At least I can look forward to Christmas Eve tomorrow. Bt I just don't want to play the piano with a really stuffy nose and my teacher expects me to sing the song I'm playing with her too. NOT HAPPENING. I have a sore throat and a stuffed up nose. How am I supposed to sing??????? HELP!

I'm Viral!!!!

OK, I just spent almost 2 HOURS at the doctor's office! I have been reading People forever and I don't think that I ever want to have to go back there again. It was SO annoying. Also, I have been coughing, and wheezing, sneezing, and taking tissues all day! I still cannot I made it through school today. I still want to go to modern though because it's the last class of the year and I wish I could go but my parents are second guessing it because they think I have to rest. I would agree with them but I really want to go!!!!! I hope I can get away with this because the pills that were prescribed to me looked HUGE. Hopefully my illness will pass.

At Home and Blogging

So I left school early today because I am VERY sick. I have the stuffiest nose in the world, a super sore throat, and a monster headache. I really want to go to dance tonight though! This is my first official class in the class that I just moved up to! So I just wanted to let everyone know what I'm doing, and that I hope that they are not at home and suffering from the common cold like me.

Gifts!!!

So I'm pretty much finished with my Christmas shopping this year, and I am satisfied with the presents I bought for my family. If one my family members is reading this, turn the computer off now. I mean it. Really. If you don't I will know. Please! So I got my mom a really pretty bracelet that I bought at a local boutique. I got my dad a hat for Notre Dame. He is a huge Irish fan, and I think he will really appreciate it. For my two brothers I got lollipops that I actually got from my math teacher that sells them for 50 cents. She gets them sent from California and they are the best lollipops in the WORLD!!! I got Tim the mountain berry because he loves things that are blue or turn your lips blue. And I got Kevin the strawberries and cream one because he loves fruit. For my sister I got another bracelet from that boutique because I know she will be jealous of my mom's present, so I decided to buy one for her too. I think these are good gifts for my family because these are things that I hope they will enjoy.

Feeling Lazy

So today is a very lazy day for my family and I. We are hanging out in the living room and I am still in my pajamas. We are cheering on the Giants and they are currently dominating the Eagles! They are winning 24-3 with about 7 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. We also have a fire going and we could care less of what the rest of the world is doing. I am SO excited for Christmas!!! It is only 6 days away and I am counting down every second. I just love this time of year because I love being with my family. My dad is one of nine children so his side of the family is HUGE. I love it when we can all get together.

Also, I have an update for next week, starting December 26-31, I will not be leaving any posts. My parents bought me plane tickets to Florida so I will be visiting my cousins there. So I will be completely detached from the Internet because I will be hanging out with them. I will be on the computer again and leaving posts again by January, 2011. But until then, I will continue blogging!

So Sorry! (Again)

So yesterday was my birthday and I am very sorry I could not leave a post, but let me say to you I am the happiest teenager on the planet right now!!!!! My friends and I all stayed over at the Hilton for the night and we had so much fun!!!!! We went swimming, had pizza, more swimming, ate cake, manicures, ate more cake, and I meant to bring presents, but I was afraid that I was going to lose them. So my birthday presents from my friends are the following:

iTunes gift card
Shorts Hills Mall gift card
Blockbuster gift card
Gotham gift card
Hollister gift card
Abercrombie and Fitch gift card
A bag from Ralph Lauren Rugby, this bag is so cute! I think this is so great for travel. It looks very refined with the stripes but the skulls make it more casual and fun.

Vera Bradley scarf, this is also super pretty. I love the pattern. It is so perfect for fall, and let me tell you that it is SO soft. I am very excited to wear this.

Rubber bracelet that says DANCE on it
Rubber bracelet that says HAPPY BIRTHDAY on it. I love these kinds of bracelets because they are so funky and casual. It adds personality to an outfit because there are so many things that you can write on them. I have friends that have bracelets like these that have the words FEARLESS, PRICELESS, JUSTIN BIEBER, SLACKER, and so much more but I can't remember them off of the top of my head because I'm tired. When my friend got me the one that says DANCE on it, I was so happy because that is simply the perfect bracelet for me! I cannot wait to wear these.

As you can see, I got A LOT of gift cards. Seriously, that's the one big thing that I wanted for my birthday this year. I like these because I can get exactly what I want. I don't like to give my friends long lists of things that I want for my birthday because that sounds very needy.

Modern Outfits!!!!

OK, so at modern last night, I found out what my costumes are. I mentioned in an earlier post that the song goes "he lives in you... he lives in me... eh-ah-um-oo-ah-ta" But the song is really called "He Lives in You". So for the costumes... they are gorgeous! They have a brown, pink, tan and yellow ty-dye. I know that sounds kind of crazy, but it's very natural, earth tones. So that goes from your breast bone up into a halter top. And for the bottom it's a short, flowy maroon skirt (that sounds kind of weird because this is a dress) and at the point when the ty-dye starts at your breast bone is a pretty ty-die ruffle (the colors are the same) And since the dress is so short and I'm going to be jumping, turning, and rolling so much, there are tight ty-dye short-shorts underneath the skirt. Also, of course, we will be wearing nude tights under the shorts. (It is a performance after all) It is so pretty! I'm happy that I have the shorts underneath because since we are doing this number with another class, they have to wear similar costumes. There's are similar, but they have to wear gaucho pants! In case you don't know, gaucho pants are super loose and baggy capri pants. It will look cool when they are dancing, but not so cool for picture day...

Jazz Outfits Review

So for the performance that my company is putting on in June, for jazz, our dance is to... HAIRSPRAY! It's so amazing! And the costumes are fantastic! You know at the end of the movie, Tracy comes down in the elevator in a silver sparkly dress with high black boots and her hair straight with a headband? Well we are wearing the exact same thing in purple! Including the boots. You wear them over your shoes and it doesn't affect your dancing! I would never wear this outfit in public, but this is so fun for performances I cannot explain how excited I am!!!!!! The song is "You Can't Stop the Beat" (of course) and as you may know, the song is very long and I think it could possibly kill a person if they are dancing to a very fast and upbeat song with very complicated choreography for 5 minutes straight. So Ms. Anne will have to do some editing, but it will still be SO fun!

And for modern, I know that our dance is to "The Lion King"! It's the one that goes, "he lives in you... he lives in me... eh-ah-um-oo-ay-ta" It's such a pretty song but I don't know what our costumes look like because we are finding out tonight. I will do a post tomorrow about it.

I also want to apologize for not blogging yesterday!!!! I am so sorry! I have been meaning too, but I have an excuse. So first I had to go to school, then I had rehearsal for "Annie", then I had to leave rehearsal early for a dentist appointment, the I went home to get ready for jazz. Last night was a 3 hour class so I came home late. Then I had to do homework the I had to shower and by that time it was 10:45 and I knew that my mom would be mad if she found me on the computer at that hour on a school night.

New Jeggings Review

So I wore my new jeggings today and I love them! They are so cute and comfortable I don't want to take them off! I am so in love with them and I got so many complements on them! I definitely recommend getting a pair if you don't have one already. They go with everything and they may look like they are super uncomfortable and they are really tight on your legs, but they have a lot a of give and the more you wear them the more they fit your body. I love these!

First Haul

So for some reason, my mom won't allow me to put up a video on Youtube, or even this blog. It's annoying. So I'm just going to do a regular post and show you guys all of the things I got via photo:(

So first I went to Kids at Heart, which is a really cute boutique that is a few towns over from mine. It has really cute dresses that are great for formals, parties, and other really special occasions. So I went shopping for a holiday outfit there and I got the cutest dress! It's really simple and it's not something that I would usually go for, but it's so cute. the front is just simple and black, but the sides have rooshing (is that spelled right?) and get this, they are sparkly! The panels are covered in silver and gold sparkles that make this a really cute holiday dress. You can wear this dress to so many different occasions your really getting your money's worth. So I know that this is a really bad picture I hope that I was able to give a good enough description. So, since my family and I have a lot of holiday parties to go to, I have to be able to wear this dress in different ways because some of the parties are more casual than others. So to really dress this dress up, (did you see what I did there? LOL!) I bought the prettiest necklace to go with it.

It's got 3 layers, and you can adjust the length on the top, and it really looks so good with the dress! I love the way it looks and it just sparkles when you have it on. The necklace was totally worth every penny.

And the thing that I love about Kids at Heart is that the service is so amazing! Every employee that was working there was so nice to me and they pulled everything that I could possibly want and I would not have been able to find an outfit like this if it weren't for them.

So after Kids at Heart I went to the mall. I stayed at Bloomingdale's the whole time because my mom had to return a coat so I bought some things that I thought that I needed for the winter. So the first thing that I bought was a winter coat. It's really simple, it's just a grey coat, after all.

This is a NorthFace, and those coats are really good quality. They keep you warm and they last a really long time.

The next thing I got was a pair of black jeggings. They are SO cute. I have been looking for a pair for a while and they look so good on. They are really flattering and comfortable. I absolutely love them and I am really looking forward to wearing them to school.

So then I got tow pairs of black tights. I got two because I tend to rip my tights a lot and I just buy a bunch of pairs on the spot so I don't have to make future trips to the mall. I plan to wear these under my holiday dress because it's really cold here in New Jersey and I don't want my legs to freeze.

So then I went  to the shoe department to pick up a new pair of Uggs. I love Uggs because they are so good for cold weather and they are SO comfortable. So I just bought a tall brown pair. I don't really like the other styles so I just stuck to one of their original designs Uggs last a really long time and they are really worth the investment. I had a pair before these ones, and they lasted me for two years.  So if you don't have a pair of Uggs already, I would definitely recommend getting a pair.

This last item your going to laugh at, because I didn't buy this last item, my 7 year old sister got it. It's a Bloomingdale's Magic 8 Ball. I think that it's supposed to help out with picking out clothes or something. It's the cutest thing! I have no idea why she bought it but she is so in love with this thing. But in a month I bet you that it will be sitting in her room, looking all gross and dusty and my mom will be thinking why the heck she bought it for her.

So I hope that this helped you get some ideas for holiday party outfits, Christmas presents, or anything that you needed help with for the holidays. I think I'll be putting up a Holiday Gift Guide post up very soon, and again, I apologize for the fact that I could not put this into a video.

How Crazy Am I?

So I'm currently in the habit of not being able to make simple decisions. For example, for the past two days, I have not been able to figure out which bracelet I wanted to wear that day! These kind of decisions take me forever. So I simply wear all 3! So today, I wore a JCrew leather bracelet, a Juicy Couture charm bracelet, and the third one I'm wearing actually was made by my great aunt. She makes her own jewelry and sends it to my sister and I.

And yesterday, I wore the Juicy and the JCrew bracelets also, but I tried one that my mom gave to me for Christmas last year. It's really pretty but I don't remember where she got it. The only bad thing that I have to say about it is that it's extremely uncomfortable!

So I love the way both of these combinations look, but I want to see your opinion and I want some suggestions for some good jewelry that's inexpensive. I'm going to be trying some new combinations of bracelets and necklaces and show them in this blog and future videos. So there will hopefully be haul videos going up this weekend!

Dance Update

So at the end of ballet, I found out what the theme of our show is going to be... BROADWAY!!!!! This is my dream! I cannot believe it! The show is going to be so fantastic. I still am in shock and I got home over 20 minutes ago. I also found of that the song for my dance in ballet is a waltz from the show Carousel. It's really pretty. Our costumes... well I'm not crazy about them. I would show you a picture, but it's from a privet costume website. But I will try to describe it as best I can. So it's a fitted top that has pink lace and sequins on the bodice. I know, it's pretty bad already. Then, it goes into a long, baby pink chiffon shirt. That's not as bad as the top because it has to match and that's what traditional ballerinas wear. Also, the skirt and top are lined with little black velvet ribbons. And for the headpiece, well... it's really just a pink scrunchy thing that's covered in sequins. So this outfit could be worse, but I'm going to get over it because I love our theme so much! And as for a haul video, I bought some things online, and I plan to go shopping for a holiday dress and party outfit (yes they are two different looks) this weekend. By then I will hopefully have a Youtube channel and I can start making haul videos!

Sorry!

OK so I have not made any posts in the last two days, so I apologize for that. But actually, I have been on the computer trying to get a better background for my blog because the website that I was getting it off was not working! If you want to know what it is it's called The Cutest Blog on the Block. Also, the site name is in the upper left hand corner of my blog so you can get to the website using that link too. So, I just figured it out and I changed some of the colors on the blog itself too because I wanted it too have some color because I do have a black and white background. So I have a tone of homework to do so I had to make this post short and also, I have been meaning to start making haul videos but I have not found the time to go shopping yet! Really sorry!

The Best Way To Relax

So I got an update from Elle Fowler's blog about these slippers that she bought and how she likes to get comfortable at home. So I was inspired by that post to do this one. So in my opinion, the best way to get comfortable at home is that it has to be late at night. If it's during the day, you might feel guilty about not getting anything productive done. So it needs to be nighttime, and it also has to be cold out. I live in New Jersey and it's December so that's not very hard. If you live in a warmer area it really doesn't mater. Also, I love the super cozy pajama pants that I have from Juicy Couture. I got them at the outlets in Jersey Gardens so I'm not sure if they are available anymore:( What I also love is when my cat gets really tired in front of the warm fire. She is out cold after about 2 minutes. It's adorable! Also, a necessity is a nice warm cup of hot chocolate with lots of whipped cream and marsh-mellows. And a romantic comedy is also needed. One of my favorites at the moment is "When In Rome" I know it's kind of old, but I still love it. And probably the most important thing to my is an Advil PM. They knock you right out in a half hour and you can't wake up. It's the best night's sleep with a cold that you will ever have. But it's really strong so I only recommend it if you are sick, which I am right now. I have a really sore throat and I have a fever. And in case you guys are wondering, I did start this post yesterday, but I never got to finish it so I'm technically still blogging everyday. And also, I am meaning to start doing haul videos so I'll put a Youtube link in the bar above so that you can watch them. I just have been really busy and I am trying to go shopping and show you a lot of things after a montage of shopping:)

My Favorite Jeans

So I know I already talked about my favorite jean brand 7ForAllMankind, and I just wanted to go into a little more detail about my favorite pair that I have from them. They are just a simple pair of dark skinny jeans but let me tell you, they fit me perfectly. This has never happened with me before because my legs are so long and muscular. But they look like they are custom-made. I know that this brand is expensive, but these jeans are really worth the investment. I got these jeans as a gift, but I would have spent the money anyway because these jeans are just that amazing. So please get yourself of pair of 7ForAllMankind jeans! You will not regret it!

White Jeans... Yes or No After Labor Day?

So a lot of people are wondering if it's O.K to wear white pants after labor day. I personally think that it's fine. In fashion, there are no rules but to push the boundaries. There might be different styles and tastes out there, but really you are the only thing that's holding yourself back. I like to wear white jeans, they are very cute and are a nice alternative to super dark and skinny jeggings. (Don't get me wrong though, I love them)  Also, I have several aunts that are very into fashion and they tell me that "winter white" is very in right now. I think that white jeans are cute, and affordable at most department stores. They go with everything and always look cute, no matter what time of year it is.

Abercrombie and Hollister Review

So I have a lot of friends that enjoy shopping and Abercrombie and Hollister. I think that both of those lines are really cute and are good for teenagers. The things that I don't really like about them is they are both very expensive for kids between the ages of 10 and 15. I honestly think that their prices are way too high. It's like $45 for just one mini skirt. Actually, the Abercrombie at the the mall I shop at was shut down because no one could buy the clothes because of the economy. And when I try to buy something online, the shipping is also at least $10. I also don't like their perfumes. Personally I think they smell like sugar, water, and honey in a tiny bottle that's not worth the amount that you pay for. The winter coats I also have a problem with. They are not very warm, they are very expensive, and they are very restraining. I find it very hard to move around in one. Also, if I do shop there, it's so hard to see. They blast the music, and the lights are turned down really low so it's very easy for someone to come in and steal something. I now that all of their items have clips on them that go off every time an item leaves the store without being paid for, but still, accidents happen. On top of that, the service is terrible. The employees at our local Abercrombie are so rude to me every time I shop there. They are always on the phone with there friends, and don't even care about what is going on in the store.

Again, if you like Abercrombie and Hollister, I don't mean to offend you. This is my personal opinion and if you happen to work at Abercrombie or Hollister, I don't mean to insult you either. This is just my local store and that doesn't apply to the stores in your area.

School and Other Things That Annoy Me

So obviously today is Monday, my least favorite day of the week. I hate the early mornings and long hours! The work is really hard too. So, I try to stay as close to my friends as possible so that the torture is less painful. I also like to "go to the bathroom" and just eat food at my locker. But I recommend not doing that too often because your teacher will become suspicious. Aside from school, other things that I don't like fashion-wise are very basic because none of you really know what my style is yet. So one of the things in fashion that annoys me is orange. Orange to me is SUCH an ugly color. It doesn't go with anything, and I don't find it very flattering. Another thing that I don't like are clogs. They look very clunky and inexpensive. I also don't think they are very comfortable. Even though I have never owned a pair, my friends that did buy a pair tell me that they are uncomfortable and a waste of money. (But they probably  weren't very expensive) But one thing that I thing that everyone should avoid when you are shopping are pink uggs! They are SO ugly! Those things are just so repulsive-looking and I am dying for them to be discontinued. So those are three things I have the most problems with when it comes to fashion. Also, I'm hoping to put up some music that my friend and I made on Garageband. It's a lot of random stuff that I hope appeals to everyone. Please let me know and I would write more about my day and stuff, but I have a TON of homework to do and not a lot of time to do it!

First Post/Me

So this will be my first post. (Hence the title, First Post/Me). I'm just going to describe basic facts about myself and my life. So first, I'm a student in middle school (still) and all I can say is that it is SO stressful! I have to balance school, dance, tennis, the school play, my social life, and family. I'd say that I'm a pretty good student, with the exception of math. That is by far my worst subject. I am so lucky I have a perfect homework record! I also am a dancer. I take jazz, modern, and ballet. They are all hard and special in their own way but I still am equally challenged. I have to move up a level in jazz though! I am by far the best dancer in the class and I am not challenged! My two brothers are better than some of the girls! That is sad! I don't mean to offend the girls in my class because some of them are not as committed to dance as I am and are not as competitive. But I do have some awesome moves:) Aside from dance, I also play tennis. I don't really know if I want to pursue it, but I am loving it right now and I feel like I'm getting better and better every time I play. I am also participating in my all-school production of "Annie". I am a chorus member, but since I'm not in the eighth grade, I have no seniority over anyone. So all sixth and seventh graders are doomed to a year of being undiscovered. But I will be a star next year, you just watch me. Now moving onto my social life and family, I have so many friends that will always stand by me. And for my family, I have my parents, and two brothers, Kevin and Tim, plus my sister, Erin and my cat. I am the oldest out of my siblings, so I am ALWAYS in charge. As for my cat, Missy, she is the sweetest, cutest, and most affectionate animal that you will ever see. I love her so much. So, now that you know the basic information about me, I want to know what your up to! Please comment and follow me or just speak your mind and give me suggestions. I'm going to try to leave at least one post everyday, so let's see how committed I can be! I would love the feedback and I want to see how I can make this blog better. Enjoy the blog!
